Suffering from Migraines?

“Migraine sufferers, take note:  Exercise was found to be just as effective as relaxation therapy and medication when it came to preventing migraines.  In a study of adults with diagnosed migraines, researchers learned that 40 minutes of aerobic exercise three times a week reduced the frequency of attacks about as much as both relaxation and daily doses of topiramate (an antiepliptic drug that treats migraines).  The findings are important because exercise is virtually a risk-free way to manage migraines–unlike topiramate, which can have side effects.  Source: Cephalalgia, Sept. 2, 2011
